Hello! Please, keep entering my GiveAway until Monday at noon! Scroll down just one post and put a prayer for IJM and those they rescue in the comment box. I have loved reading and praying along with the wonderful prayers that people have written. It is very encouraging.

I can’t promise you an autographed CD from Brandon Heath, because we didn’t win. BUT, I want to tell you about the amazing ministry that DID WIN!

It is called Step by Step and it’s in Kentucky… what they do is help pregnant women who have come from extremely dysfunctional homes. These girls/women have never learned what they need to learn in order to become good mothers, and this ministry comes alongside them and teaches them!

I tried really hard to be “cool” about the contest, but it was tough! But the whole time I just kept thinking, no matter who “wins” the important thing is that regular people who are trying to do something good in Jesus’ name will get a really fun boost, and a great encouragement through this contest. Someone was going to win, so how could it not be a wonderful thing?

One of my prayers was that I would be able to be happy about whoever won. I am.

They awarded a second grand prize to some other cause…. it wasn’t us, but I don’t know who it was; we were in the car and our reception was getting too bad as we drove for us to hear the rest of that segment…. if I find out, I will tell you about them, too!

UPDATE: It’s called The Underground and they are located in Cincinnati, OH!…. From just their website, I can tell it’s a nightclub, but they don’t seem to have a mission statement… So I can’t tell you what it is exactly that they are attempting…. but I would assume it is a happening (do you kids still say “happening”?) nightspot that features up and coming Christian bands…. cool! BACK TO THE POST AS IT WAS WRITTEN:

Between ourselves, I likely would have been a complete basket case had we won.

Besides—and I say this in complete seriousness—I think Because I Can is going to grow no matter what. It’s already too big for us; God is already carrying it.

And me…. ah, and me!
