A: Less than one block from two police officers (who are in their car, which is facing your direction) and who see the whole thing.

One police officer came to us, and one went over to the girl. I feel badly for her. I well remember those days (most of them B.C.) of getting into scrapes of my own making and having the consequences fall on me like bricks.

We are fine. It was Anna and me. Thankfully, she was on the opposite side so she didn’t have to watch it happen.

The van….. well, all but the back passenger side just behind the back tire seems OK. As for that part? Well, it’s a bit… impressive.
