I can’t believe it, but some of the people I love the most didn’t know what to make of it. “Did she really find that flattering?” “Did she try to sound like him?”

No. I didn’t. At all. I just thought it was funny. Really funny.

For those who couldn’t know, I am about as far from Barry White (in every direction) as I could get. I guess the woman who paid me this “compliment” had to be a big fan of his; and for her it was high praise to compare the two of us. Again, how else it would be possible escapes me.

I am VERY glad I was so pleased with my performance, or it might have put me over a depressing edge.

As it was, I could just laugh. And now that I’ve cleared that up, all of you can feel free to laugh, too.
