Dave isn't into "Chick flicks" and this is definitely one. I loved it so much I bought the DVD at a movie sale at Blockbuster. I just love the scene at the end. Yeah, Mr Darcy is kinda of blah until he starts to wake up & realize that he is totally flipped out over this woman because she is independent and speaks her mind. (my thot anyway!) I also had never read the book until after this movie... I finished it while we were in Colorado & decided there were things I liked about the book better. And Mr Collins... gross! I am so glad she put him in his place!!! I would have done the same thing... said NO and ran out of the house as far away as I could get from that man. I am soooooooooo glad that we get to pick who we want to marry in this day and age. :-)</p> Brits pub has such good food & that would have been fun for me anyway!
