“What does Ken do?”
Ever since I met him it’s been hard to answer that question; especially when talking to members of the Greatest Generation. I’d get about four words into the description and could see their eyes glazing over. I finally learned to just say, “He’s a computer guy” and maybe throw in the name of the company.
But all that is changing. Even though he is still the go-to guy for all things techie, his duties have progressively become more upper level. There’s another nice, bright guy working there who is becoming “the computer guy” and Ken was just promoted to Vice President of Production and Technology.
All this from the guy who loves to point out that the only place he ever graduated from was the Minnesota School of Bartending.
But now what do I say when someone asks my husband’s occupation?
“Um, he’s The Man.”
