We had Jack’s birthday party today. It was great! We were this huge group of 26 and we went sledding! 17 were little kids and the rest were either parents or helpful teenagers.

I have so much left to do tonight. A very helpful habit I have gotten into in the last few years is to log what worked and what didn’t after a birthday or holiday. I used to think I would remember the details, but after an entire year I found that I would forget the successes and repeat things that didn’t go well.

I am too tired right now. I still have to prepare to teach the 4 and 5 year olds’ Sunday School lesson tomorrow, and I haven’t even looked at the materials yet.

But it was a good day. I am so thankful that the weather was so perfect, the kids had a great time, Jack couldn’t be happier and best of all, no one got hurt, (to speak of.)
